Bikkel Artist exhibits her study trajectory in Loods M:
From 2D sketch design concept to 3D scale model in clay and then in plexiglass.

INTRODUCING: Bikkel Artist – glass artist and painter
Graduated 2002 from the Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam, with an exceptional distinction.
The work process is spontaneous. Emotions play an important role. Everything reflects the warmth of my native Curaçao.
My glass designs and paintings are exhibited in Museum Voorlinden, the Curaçao Museum, and Museum Maassluis, among others.

CONCEPT: Two figureheads
These connect the city center of Maassluis Centrum with the maritime heart of Maassluis, Loods M

OBJECTIVE: Connecting the center of Maassluis with Loods M
The glass sculptures will emphasize the maritime theme.
They will also serve as a framework for all kinds of cultural activities with themes such as culture, history, and art.
The sculptures are NOT susceptible to vandalism. They consist of thick sheets of glass glued together. Glass strongly evokes water and is important to the city of Maassluis.
